Reviews

Here you will find a selection of the many sweet, beautiful and moving reactions that I have received from my readers. Every time I find it so special to read what my story has meant to others and I am very grateful for the effort people take to inform me about their findings. Reading all those reactions convinced me that it was the right decision to send my story out into the world.

Aheheeʼ ahehee aheheeʼ!

It is a compelling story written from the author's point of view. She tells it so visually that you are completely drawn into the book. If you are interested in Navajo culture, this book is a must read.

I was able to read the book quickly, it is a beautiful story, with a lot of information and a look at the Navajo Indians from the inside. But also a story about discrimination, ceremonies and also love. A cool book to read.

The book is a beautiful story. You describe the Navaho way of life in detail and as a reader you are really drawn into it. If you're a visual thinker like me, the book unfolds like a movie and all the senses are addressed when you're reading. (Saskia van Noort eat your heart out!) The photos in it make it complete. I have laughed, wondered, felt tears and enjoyed.

I think this book is an ode to the Navaho way of life. An ode to strong women. an ode to self-love.

Wonderful to step into your special life. Would have liked much more extensive and longer for me. Enjoyed. thanks!!

Truly a fantastic book that you dream away in and have read it in 1 x. It felt like I was there in flight moment. Wowwwwwwwww.<

The peace and confidence with which you walk your path is an inspiration to many people. And I'm glad you decided to share your wonderful story with the world. It is not only educational for anyone with an interest in Indians, their customs, traditions and culture. But also an example.

An example for everyone to follow his or her intuition. To live from your "gut". To embrace life, to have space for, as I call it Maktub. Or, fate.

Hi Dorothea, I read your book in one go this weekend and made another special journey with you 😉 Brings back many memories of a beautiful time for me. Very clever how all things in life come together with you, resulting in this personal and inspiring book. And of course it's not over yet....... Good luck with everything

Enjoyed your book immensely! Couldn't put it down because almost every chapter ended with a kind of cliffhanger and then you want to continue... on to the next chapter, the next adventure. I will call you 'Dóórothea' from now on! 😉 And that it didn't just stay with describing, but that we could also sympathize with your emotions, I thought it was very nice. ❤️ It was immersive! Thank you for sharing your story in this way. So glad the book has arrived! 😘

Thank you for sharing your life story. You have lived your dream in one of the most beautiful, powerful places on earth. I read your book in 2 evenings, wonderful! Thank you very much for allowing me to walk alongside you through your visual way of writing a part of your life.

I seriously hope your book becomes a bestseller because it's seriously worth it

Through anecdotes and experiences you will learn more about what life with and with a Navajo is like. Taken together, it's a complete story that I couldn't stop reading in any case, which resulted in me finishing the book in a day.

Read in an instant. Fascinating story, well written and secretly nice to be back in one of our favorite parts of the US.

Great book, read it in one breath! What a fascinating story and special "love story". I myself was in Monument Valley in 2010, although on vacation, but I can certainly imagine what this “magical” experience must have been for you to have been so close to the Navaho community. An adventure once in a lifetime!💫

I have just finished your book. What a wonderful story you have written!! You took me all the way back into the experiences and the feeling of being in beautiful America again. I want to thank you very much and have gained a lot of respect for you!  I think you are such a wonderful and open-minded person. I hope that many more people can enjoy your beautiful book!

Thank you for sharing this beautiful story . Enjoyed . Thank you .

Beautiful story! Very visually written. It's like traveling through Monument Valley on horseback.

I have to be honest, I think it's very clever to let me read a book in one day. I, with the title ADD, have trouble staying fascinated by a book or movie, this only proves the value of the book.
